Today we bring you a recipe for Arabian bread with extra virgin olive oil, it is a simple, easy and quick recipe to make.
This bread is made with wheat flour and can be cooked in a pan or in the oven. Its main characteristic is that it is round and with not much crumbs, that is why it is ideal for sandwiches or pizza.
· 4 tablespoons of Interóleo extra virgin olive oil
In a bowl add the flour, first you have to sieve it, so it sifts and comes out thinner.
Then open a hole in the centre of the flour, pour salt over the flour, being careful not to touch the yeast. In the centre of the bowl, place the crumbled fresh yeast and the 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
Pour some warm water over the yeast and extra virgin olive oil and start dissolving it with your fingers. Add flour and water as you continue to knead.
Knead well until you get an elastic, smooth and soft dough.
An advice! - If you see that the dough is too dry add a little water, if on the contrary it is too sticky add a little flour
Make a roll, cover it with a clean cloth without pressing it and let it double its volume in a warm place, away from draughts.
When it has doubled in volume, cut the dough into balls the size of ping pong balls, and flatten them with your hands or a roller. Leave them about 2 cm thick. If you like them with more or less crumbs, you can leave them a little thinner or thicker. Sprinkle the dough with flour and cover it with a damp cloth. Leave them to rest for 30 minutes.
Place a pan on the heat with some extra virgin olive oil and wait until it is hot, but not too hot, so that the bread does not burn. Cook each bread for 3 minutes on one side, then turn it over and leave for another 2 minutes. If you like the bread a little more toasted you can leave it up to 2 more minutes.
Our tasty bread is ready to eat, you can accompany it with a delicious hummus with virgin olive oil.
